Age restrictions:

Due to the nature of exploring the paranormal it is a requirement of our business insurance policy that there is NO admittance to those under the age of 18. Should this condition change, we would expect anyone under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Disabilities and restrictions:

As much as we do not want to appear to discriminate against others there are various locations that we offer to our customers for paranormal exploration which could present potential hazards to those with mobility issues and disabilities.

Many of the historic buildings have restrictions where reasonable adjustments cannot be made due to the listed buildings act therefore, we will advise our customers if a location is unsuitable to ensure the safety of all concerned. We will also detail in our adverts if a location has better and safe mobility for those that would like to attend to ensure we take a fair approach as much as possible.

Pregnancy

It is advised that heavily pregnant women do not take part in a paranormal exploration due to potential hazards associated with the nature of old buildings and activities centred upon the paranormal.

We do not wish to put an unborn child at risk therefore we cannot permit heavily pregnant women to participate in such activities. There could be potential dangers from old broken structures, crumbling brickwork, limited access, slippery floors and walk ways, restricted and confined areas as well as moulds, dust and old chemicals that could pose a risk to the pregnant women and unborn child therefore we can not allow admittance to our events.

Should a customer having booked a ticket to an event and establish that a pregnancy is in place the woman will be entitled to a full refund however if there is a party of more than one person connected with the booking they will not be entitled to a refund. This refund condition only applies to the pregnant women.

Refunds

Apex paranormal will do everything it can to ensure an event goes ahead however there may be circumstances when an event is cancelled and this being beyond our control.

Should a location become closed to the public cancelling paranormal investigations or ghost hunts due to staff sickness, health and safety incident, fire, theft or other such occurrences we will try to source another location however if this is not possible, we will give our customers a full refund. The customer will be given the option of deferment to another date to the same or similar location if this is possible and arrangements will be made if this option is chosen but can only be decided by the customer. We will contact the customer as and when this is applicable.

If a party or part of party booking decide they can not attend or are unable to attend due to ill health, traffic problems, transport issues and other circumstances which are not the responsibilities of Apex Paranormal we will not be able to offer a refund and a deferment will not be offered.

We currently do not offer a deposit option therefore this is not applicable either. Should this condition change and we start offering deposit options the deposit will not be refunded should a customer cancel their booking/s with us.

As we are an event planner, we use locations which involves hire charges which need to be covered regardless of the number of customers who have valid tickets and our tickets sales are on the basis that the required number of customers will buy tickets to ensure that booking goes ahead. It is not the responsibility of Apex paranormal should a customer decide they no longer want to attend and the ticket sale will remain as such a sold ticket with no refund option in place.

In the event of all cancellations we would appreciate if the person that made the booking could phone us to notify us of this decision so that we are aware and can make amendments to our attendee list so that we are in compliance with health and safety and fire regulations. Alternatively, an email can be sent to apexparanormalltd@outlook.com  to notify the team.

We do not accept cancellations via our Facebook page as this may go unnoticed and could lead to complications during the event in the case of an emergency.

Behaviour of guests

Our guests and customers would expect Apex paranormal to be professional at all times and Apex paranormal expects its guests to represent themselves in a positive way.

We do not tolerate rude, abusive behaviour towards anyone be it a member of the team or another guest.

Should we have valid reason to believe someone has acted in a negative way towards another we will eject that person from the event with immediate affect and enforce the support of the police if required.

If Apex paranormal has to resort to ejecting anyone from an event due to ill behaviour towards others a refund will not be offered. We would also like to point out that should an ejection take place and this affects the individual transport home or access to overnight accommodation it is not our responsibility.

Similarly, we do not fake any of our ‘evidence’ during a paranormal event and we expect our customers not to fake or disrupt any vigils either with potential fakery.

Again, we will eject anyone found faking such ‘evidence’ and again a refund will not be offered.

Alcohol and drug usage preceding or during an event.

Alcohol and drug usage will not be tolerated during and event and it is the customers responsibility to ensure they join us at an event sober or if a drink has been consumed this will not have been to excess.

Should a customer present themselves and we believe they are under the influence of drink and/or drugs admittance to the event will not be permitted and a refund will not be offered.

We will also contact the police if we believe the person has driven a vehicle to the location as drink and drug misuse/abuse will not be tolerated.

Again, it is not our responsibility if this affects transport links, overnight accommodation or other inconvenience to the ejected person.

Smoking

The use of smoking devices, tailored and hand rolled cigarettes, pipes, vapes and cigars will only be permitted for use in the designated smoking area which will be confirmed with customers at each location during the opening brief.

Anyone found using such smoking devices as listed above and they are not in the designated area jeopardises their placement on the event.

Smoking away from a designated smoking area can pose a fire risk which could put others at risk.

Again, if a person is ejected a refund will not be given nor it is the responsibility of Apex Paranormal if this affects transport links, overnight accommodation or any other inconvenience.
